Garmon
Garmon is a button-driven, small, Russian type of an Accordion, a free-reed Aerophone. What makes it different from the accordion is that instead of keys it utilises buttons and is small enough that it could be carried or stood up with. It has 25 bass (low sound) buttons which are situated in three rows and also 25 treble (counterpart of bass) buttons situated in two rows. The sound is made by pushing and puling bellows which create pressure and vacuum, driving air across the internal reeds and producing sound by their vibration, applying more pressure when playing increases the volume.
The garmon has a bright, airy, grand and powerful sound. It is high in pitch, and is higher then an accordion. The sounds duration all depends on the player; how far he stretches the bellows and how hard he pushes them back.
